Perhelatan Academy Awards atau Piala Oscar 2023 telah digelar di Dolby Theatre Los Angeles, Amerika Serikat, Minggu (12/3/2023) atau Senin (13/3/2023) pagi waktu Indonesia.
Film ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once‘ mendominasi penghargaan tahun ini dengan memboyong tujuh piala sekaligus! Ini termasuk film terbaik, sutradara terbaik aktris terbaik, penyuntingan terbaik, aktor pendukung terbaik, aktris pendukung terbaik, dan skenario asli terbaik.
‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’ menjadi pembawa piala kategori paling prestise, yaitu Best Picture. Film itu juga mencetak rekor karena menjadi film dengan kemenangan Piala Oscar terbanyak, yakni tujuh piala.
Sutradara Daniel Kwan dan Daniel Scheinert juga membawa pulang piala atas kategori Best Director. Sedangkan Michelle Yeoh memenangkan Best Actress, pertama dari Asia.
